One of India’s Leading Manufacturer of Marker & Pen Inks

Soni Officemate is a division of Soni Polymers Pvt. Ltd., an ISO 9001:2015 certified manufacturer based in Nagpur, India. We produce a comprehensive range of stationery inks and writing instruments for domestic and international markets, with exports currently reaching buyers across 60+ countries.

Our product range covers water-based, solvent-based, and alcohol-based inks for permanent markers, dry-erase markers, highlighters, OHP and CD markers, glue sticks, and stamping applications. Every formulation is developed and tested in our in-house R&D laboratory and certified compliant with REACH regulations and EN 71 Part 3 standards. Products are tested for a minimum shelf life of two years under standard storage conditions.

We work with B2B buyers, importers, distributors, and OEM customers requiring both standard catalog products and fully customized ink solutions. Custom development capabilities include Pantone-referenced color matching, competitor sample matching, viscosity and drying time adjustment for specific nib and substrate requirements, and GHS-compliant SDS documentation for regulated markets.

Soni Officemate is a third-generation family-owned business. The decisions we make reflect a long-term ownership perspective: consistent quality over shortcuts, documented processes over informal ones, and relationships built on reliability rather than price alone.

International office establishment is part of our medium-term strategic roadmap.

our Promise

Chairman’s Message

our Promise

Chairman’s Message

Soni Polymers was built on a single conviction: that quality manufacturing, done honestly, earns lasting trust. What began as a focused operation in Nagpur has grown, across three generations of our family, into a manufacturer supplying stationery inks, markers, and writing instruments to customers in over 60 countries.

That growth has never been accidental. Every decision, from our early investment in in-house R&D to earning ISO 9001:2015, REACH, and EN 71 certifications, has been made with a long-term view. We do not chase volume at the cost of consistency. Our buyers return because they know what to expect: formulations that perform, documentation that meets their compliance requirements, and a team that treats their specifications seriously.

Sustainability is not a separate agenda for us. It is built into how we source, how we formulate, and how we manufacture. Reducing environmental impact is a responsibility we have held long before it became standard language in the industry.

None of this reflects the work of one person. It reflects decades of effort from our team in Nagpur, the trust of our distribution and export partners, and the loyalty of customers who have grown with us. I am grateful to each of them.

We will keep building. Not by changing what we stand for, but by extending it into new markets, new product categories, and new standards.

Prakash L. Soni Chairman, Soni Polymers Pvt. Ltd.

We also provide technical documentation support, including Safety Data Sheets (SDS) prepared in compliance with GHS and regional regulatory formats.

Fully Integrated Setup

ADVANCED MANUFACTURING PROCESS

Precision Engineering for Superior Ink Performance
Production begins with raw material qualification. Dyes, pigments, resins, solvents, and additives are sourced against defined specifications and tested for conformity before entering the production process. Formulation is carried out in controlled batch reactors with precise temperature, agitation, and dosing parameters to ensure batch-to-batch consistency.
Post-formulation, each batch undergoes multi-stage filtration to remove undissolved particulates and ensure particle size distribution within specification. Quality control testing covers color strength, viscosity, pH, drying time, smear resistance, and fade resistance. Batches are cleared for filling only after passing all QC parameters. Final packaging in sealed, leak-proof containers includes lot coding and traceability documentation to support customer inventory and compliance requirements.

Technology Integration

MANUFACTURING EXCELLENCE

Modern Infrastructure, Precision Assembly
Our Nagpur facility operates injection molding and extrusion lines producing ink reservoirs, cartridges, caps, and outer casings to tight dimensional tolerances. Automated filling lines dispense ink into marker bodies and containers with gravimetric accuracy, followed by sealed assembly and 100% leak inspection before dispatch.
The facility runs under ISO 9001:2015 quality management protocols with documented control plans, incoming material inspection, in-process checks, and final product release procedures. Production capacity supports both high-volume standard orders and shorter runs for custom or seasonal SKUs. All processes are structured to accommodate buyer-specific requirements including private labeling, custom packaging formats, and compliance documentation for regulated markets

Empowering Progress Through Quality Stationery

Recyclable Packaging with Eco-Friendly Inks

Using recyclable cardboard for packaging and eco-friendly inks to minimize environmental impact and promote sustainable branding. Our packaging is designed to be 100% recyclable at end-of-life, reducing plastic waste in landfills. We are continuously working to eliminate harmful chemicals from our printing process, ensuring that every product leaving our facility carries a minimal environmental footprint without compromising on packaging integrity or presentation quality.

Recycled Plastic (>30%)

Incorporating above 30% recycled plastic in products and processes to reduce waste. By sourcing post-consumer and post-industrial recycled plastics, we actively reduce demand for virgin plastic production. This initiative helps divert plastic waste from oceans and landfills, contributing to a circular economy where materials are reused rather than discarded, without compromising on product durability or performance.

Minimal Paper Use

Digitizing operations to significantly reduce paper usage. Internal communications, approvals, invoicing, and reporting are being progressively migrated to digital platforms across all departments. This transition reduces paper consumption at the facility level while improving process efficiency, document traceability, and data accessibility across our teams.

Recycling Production

Implementing waste management systems to recycle leftover paper, plastic, and other materials from the production process, reducing landfill contributions and promoting resource efficiency. We partner with certified recycling agencies to ensure responsible disposal and reuse of industrial waste generated across our manufacturing lines. Every material stream, from ink residues to plastic offcuts, is logged, segregated, and routed through verified recycling channels to minimize what reaches landfill.

Solar Energy

Utilizing over 500 KW of solar power to transition to renewable energy sources. Our rooftop solar installations power a significant portion of daily manufacturing and office operations, reducing our dependence on grid electricity and cutting annual carbon emissions. The 500 KW capacity was commissioned as a long-term infrastructure investment, lowering operational energy costs while supporting India's national renewable energy targets. We continue to evaluate capacity expansion as our operations grow.

Electric Vehicles

Phasing out traditional vehicles in favor of EVs to cut carbon emissions. We are progressively replacing petrol and diesel-powered vehicles with electric alternatives for logistics, delivery, and facility transportation. Dedicated EV charging infrastructure has been installed at our premises to support this transition and ensure operational continuity as the fleet scales toward full electrification.

Water Conservation

Implementing water harvesting and using water-based adhesives and inks. Our rainwater harvesting systems collect and channel water for reuse across facility operations, reducing dependence on external municipal supply. Regular water usage audits help identify consumption inefficiencies and drive targeted reduction measures. The shift to water-based adhesives and inks further reduces the use of solvent-intensive formulations that carry higher environmental and disposal costs.

Planting 10,000+ Trees Every Year

Committed to planting over 10,000 trees annually to enhance biodiversity and offset carbon emissions. These plantings are carried out in collaboration with local communities, NGOs, and environmental organizations to ensure long-term tree survival and ecosystem restoration. Beyond carbon offsetting, the program supports native habitat recovery in and around Nagpur, creating measurable, on-the-ground environmental impact year after year.
