Powering Production with Innovation
LEADING MANUFACTURER OF
HIGH-QUALITY STATIONERY AND INKS

Delivering Global Standards Through Precision and Compliance
Soni Officemate is a division of Soni Polymers Pvt. Ltd., an ISO 9001:2015 certified manufacturer based in Nagpur, India, operational since 2001. We produce a comprehensive range of stationery inks for writing instruments, markers, highlighters, and stamping applications, exported to over 60 countries across six continents.
Our products are REACH compliant, EN 71 Part 3 certified for toy safety, and manufactured under Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards. An in-house R&D, formulation, and testing laboratory supports both standard product lines and fully customized ink development, ensuring every formulation meets the specific technical and regulatory requirements of each target market.
INNOVATION AND CUSTOMIZED SOLUTIONS

Tailored Ink Technologies for Every Application
Our R&D capability covers the full spectrum of water-based, solvent-based, and alcohol-based inks for permanent markers, dry-erase markers, highlighters, OHP and CD markers, and fabric and textile applications. Each formulation is engineered for specific performance parameters including write-out length, drying time, viscosity, lightfastness, and substrate compatibility.
For buyers requiring custom solutions, we offer Pantone-referenced color matching, physical and chemical property matching against competitor or brand samples, and ink development for proprietary marker systems. All finished inks are tested for a minimum shelf life of two years under standard storage conditions. We also provide technical documentation support, including Safety Data Sheets (SDS) prepared in compliance with GHS and regional regulatory formats.
ADVANCED MANUFACTURING PROCESS

Precision Engineering for Superior Ink Performance
Production begins with raw material qualification. Dyes, pigments, resins, solvents, and additives are sourced against defined specifications and tested for conformity before entering the production process. Formulation is carried out in controlled batch reactors with precise temperature, agitation, and dosing parameters to ensure batch-to-batch consistency.
Post-formulation, each batch undergoes multi-stage filtration to remove undissolved particulates and ensure particle size distribution within specification. Quality control testing covers color strength, viscosity, pH, drying time, smear resistance, and fade resistance. Batches are cleared for filling only after passing all QC parameters. Final packaging in sealed, leak-proof containers includes lot coding and traceability documentation to support customer inventory and compliance requirements.
MANUFACTURING EXCELLENCE

Modern Infrastructure, Precision Assembly
Our Nagpur facility operates injection molding and extrusion lines producing ink reservoirs, cartridges, caps, and outer casings to tight dimensional tolerances. Automated filling lines dispense ink into marker bodies and containers with gravimetric accuracy, followed by sealed assembly and 100% leak inspection before dispatch.
The facility runs under ISO 9001:2015 quality management protocols with documented control plans, incoming material inspection, in-process checks, and final product release procedures. Production capacity supports both high-volume standard orders and shorter runs for custom or seasonal SKUs. All processes are structured to accommodate buyer-specific requirements including private labeling, custom packaging formats, and compliance documentation for regulated markets
FAQs
What is Soni Officemate's production capacity?
Our facility currently produces over 3 million markers per day and 15 million glue sticks per month. Our production capacity spans multiple categories simultaneously: markers, glue sticks, stamp pads, inks, and correction products. The production floor operates across multiple shifts with high-precision injection molding, automated assembly lines, and dedicated quality checkpoints.
What manufacturing certifications does your facility hold?
Our facility is certified under ISO 9001:2015 for Quality Management Systems, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) certified by UKCert for ink production, and EC Production Quality Assurance certified by Det Norske Veritas (DNV) for our Surgical Skin Marker range. These certifications are maintained through regular third-party audits and cover our full process chain from raw material intake to finished goods dispatch.
Do you have in-house tool room capabilities?
Yes. We established a state-of-the-art Tool Room facility in 2005, which gives us the capability to design, develop, and maintain precision injection molds in-house. This reduces our dependence on external tooling vendors, accelerates new product development timelines, and ensures tight dimensional tolerances on our marker barrels and components. It also enables us to offer mold development as part of OEM service packages.
How do you ensure consistency across production batches?
Consistency is maintained through our ISO 9001:2015 certified quality management system. This includes incoming raw material inspection (plastic resin grades, ink components), in-process quality checks at each assembly stage, and final product testing covering write-out length, dry time, erasability (for whiteboard markers), and ink volume per unit. Periodic third-party lab testing is conducted for export batches to verify REACH and EN 71 compliance.
What environmental controls are in place at the production facility?
Our facility operates a closed-loop waste handling system: plastic flash and sprues from injection molding are regrind-fed or sent to certified plastic recyclers; paper and cardboard offcuts are baled and sold to recyclers; ink waste from batch changeovers is processed through our CPCB-compliant effluent treatment facility. Our landfill diversion rate is above 78%, with a target to bring this below 10% by 2027 through improved source segregation.
Can customers visit the factory as part of a due diligence process?
Yes. Factory visits are a standard part of our engagement with new large-scale buyers, export partners, and institutional clients. We conduct guided visits covering our injection molding plant, ink formulation and quality laboratory, assembly and packaging lines, and our Tool Room facility. Visits must be pre-scheduled with at least 5 to 7 business days advance notice. Please contact us via email to arrange.
