Distributor
FAQs
What territories are available for Soni Officemate distribution?
We appoint distributors on a territory-exclusive or semi-exclusive basis depending on market size and category. Domestically, territories are typically defined at the district or state level. Internationally, country-level exclusivity is offered to qualified import and distribution partners. Availability is assessed on a case-by-case basis. To check if your target territory is open, submit an inquiry via the Distributor form.
What is the financial commitment expected from a new distributor?
International and domestic distributors are expected to meet a minimum annual purchase commitment that is agreed upon mutually during the appointment process. The commitment level is assessed based on territory size, market potential, and the product categories being carried. Specific terms are discussed and documented in the distribution agreement after an initial evaluation of the applicant’s market reach and business profile.
What support does Soni Officemate provide to its distributors?
Our distribution partners receive dedicated account management, advertisement material, access to digital and print marketing assets, competitive trade pricing with clear margin structures, product sample sets, participation in joint promotional campaigns, and priority access to new product launches. Export distributors also receive customs documentation support, country-specific certification copies, and compliance material assistance.
What payment terms are offered to distributors?
New domestic distributors typically start with 50% advance payment or PDC (post-dated cheque) terms. If a deposit amount is provided, we can extend up to 30 days credit, depending upon the agreement. In some cases, payment may be structured as 50% on dispatch and 50% through post-dated cheque. International distributors operate on T/T (telegraphic transfer) advance or L/C (Letter of Credit) at sight terms, with deferred payment options available for established partners. All payment terms are documented in the distribution agreement.
Does Soni Officemate attend trade fairs where I can meet the team?
Yes. We actively participate in domestic and international trade fairs including Paperworld Middle East, Stationery Asia, and various Indian stationery exhibitions. Meeting our export or domestic team at a trade fair is often the first step toward formalizing a distribution agreement. Upcoming fair participation is announced on our website Media page and social media channels.
How do I place purchase orders and track shipments as a distributor?
Please go through the above terms and send detailed information about your firm by filling the required format and sending it to us. After that, you will receive a call from our team. Established distributors receive a dedicated point of contact within our export or domestic sales team. Purchase orders can be placed via email with the agreed PO format. Proforma invoices, packing lists, and tracking details are shared at each dispatch stage. Export shipments are tracked via the freight forwarder’s portal, with details shared proactively by our logistics team.
